Man wins Oklahoma to wear goat horns in drivers license photo
A Pagan priest finally has the OK to sport goat horns in his Maine driver's license photo. Phelan Moonsong said he always wears his goat horns, which serve as his spiritual antennae. But Moonsong is questioning why he had to fight for his driver's license photo even after explaining his religious beliefs to motor vehicle staff in August. Plus, he adds, the horns didn't obstruct his face. The Maine Secretary of State's office said the state wasn't familiar with his choice of headdress and had asked Moonsong for more information. A spokeswoman said Maine allowed the goat horns because Moonsong cited their religious purposes and because they didn't obstruct his face. Maine motor vehicle staff can hold license photos for review if they have a concern about religious headdress.
This article doesn't have the needed information a journalist would be looking for. However it does give enough information for readers to get the general idea. Although this story is somewhat odd, it has character to what some people do in today's society. The article provides just enough of the needed information for any reader.

Utah teen dies unexpectedly after being a organ donor
A Utah teen dies in her sleep after stating as to be an organ donor. The teen was on the cheer team, friends to anyone, and a kind girl. The couple explains that one morning went to go wake up their daughter when she was passed away in her bed that morning. Her friends decided that she should be an organ donor after her death and find out what she could potentially donate to others in need. The donations from her saved many other lives, leaving her parents wanting to visit the people who received the donations from her.
The structure of this story and use of technique is very good. The interview is well placed using the rule of thirds, but also it's at a comfortable eye level for viewers. The voice overs fit the tone of the story. The story was a sad, depressing, and unfortunate event, and the voice overs really set the tone. The b-roll used in this situation matched the voice particularly well. As something was stated in her voice overs, in the next shot it would be just what she was talking about in the interview and voice over. The story was overall great but very unfortunate for the family.
